Workshop Presenter: Dr. Lyndall Hare
Embracing and understanding life transitions into elderhood to include relocating from existing communities of friends, re-imagining what we want to commit and be ‘fed’ by in our elder years, downsizing our lives, losses & gains and re-creating community.
Dr. Lyndall Hare holds a Social Work degree and a Ph.D. in Gerontological Studies. She has worked in the field of aging for 32 years, both in the United States and South Africa. She has expertise in the transitions facing individuals into elderhood. Lyndall conducts workshops and groups on life transitions, encore careers, caring for elder relatives, and the spiritual aspects of eldering using a “growth” rather than a “decline” model of aging.
The cost of this program is $15 per person. Scholarships available. Advance registration required at https://www.charlottelgbtqelders.org/programs-events.
